I’ve used Hacker News API as part of running this site and managing Sol’s workflows. Here’s what I think.

What it does well: AI news monitoring, Trend analysis, Story curation

Where it falls short: 90% of it isn’t AI-related. You need a good filter.

Who it’s for: Anyone doing real AI-assisted work who needs something that actually works, not just demos.

The verdict: The best free news source in tech. No rate limits worth mentioning.
